Loyens & Loeff Luxembourg advised on a $2.5 billion financing for Advent International’s public-to-private bid to acquire Cobham plc

We teamed up with lead counsel Paul Hastings London in advising Goldman Sachs Bank USA, Credit Suisse and Citibank as arrangers and underwriters, in relation to a £2.5 billion 1st/2nd lien financing for U.S. private equity firm Advent International’s public-to-private bid to acquire Cobham plc, a UK aerospace and defence supplier. The deal was valued at about £4 billion.

Advent International is an US private equity firm focused on buyouts of companies in Western and Central Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia. The firm focuses on international buyouts, growth and strategic restructuring in five core sectors.

The Loyens & Loeff team was led by Banking and Finance partner Anne-Marie Nicolas and senior associate Elie-Raphaël Soudry with the support of Louis-Guillaume Roldan, associate and Nadège Le Gouellec, senior tax associate.
