Results in Chambers Europe
Loyens & Loeff holds on to its top ranking position as leading business law firm. In the Tax category, we prolonged our tier 1 ranking in all our Benelux offices. Chambers calls the Loyens & Loeff tax practice “Market-leading practice offering a full range of tax services. Focuses particularly on areas such as corporate structuring and tax strategies related to M&A, including IPOs and public M&A. In the category Banking & Finance (Regulatory) and Capital Markets (Securitisation) our Dutch offices went up to tier 1. In the categories Energy & Natural Resources (Regulatory), Investment Funds, Real Estate and Transportation (Shipping Advisory) our Dutch offices were also awarded a tier 1 ranking. Our Belgium office held on to the tier 1 ranking for Energy. Belgium holds on to tier 2 for Banking & Finance and Real Estate. Our Luxembourg office was again rewarded with a tier 2 ranking for Banking & Finance, Dispute Resolution and Investment Funds.

Results in Chambers Global
Once again Loyens & Loeff achieved good results in the Chambers Global Guide. Our firm remains a respected player in the industry. In the Netherlands our firm received a Tier 1 ranking in the Capital Markets category for Securitisation and a Tier 2 ranking in Banking & Finance. In Dispute Resolution Loyens & Loeff continued its Tier 2 ranking. In Capital Markets (Equity) and Corporate/M&A Loyens & Loeff continued the tier 3 position in the Netherlands. Belgium continued their tier 2 position in Banking & Finance. Our Luxembourg office also achieved a tier 2 ranking for Investment Funds.

Tier 1 rankings in International Tax Review
In the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Belgium our firm received a tier 1 ranking stating we are highly praised by clients and peers. Our new office in Switzerland was ranked tier 3. In addition, several of our female tax advisers were ranked in the ‘Women in Tax Leaders Guide’.
For World Tax 2018 our firm received tier 1 rankings for the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Belgium. Our Swiss office was ranked tier 3.
Top scores in the Legal 500
Loyens & Loeff scored very high in the Legal 500. As in previous years, we achieved the highest ranking in the category Tax in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. Our new Swiss office also received a tier 1 ranking for Tax. In the categories Mediation, Environment and planning, Food & Beverages, Healthcare & Life sciences, Retail, Investment funds and Real Estate, our Dutch offices once again earned a tier 1 ranking. Our office in Belgium also received a tier 1 ranking for Energy, Food, Retail, EU Regulatory Food and Private Equity.
Loyens & Loeff maintained its solid position and stays on top of the rankings in almost all categories. Legal 500 said Loyens & Loeff is praised for its: ‘strong and responsive’ tax department, for ‘always going the extra mile to make a transaction happen’ and ‘outstanding knowledge of EU regulatory and food law’.

Top ranking in the Mergermarket M&A League Tables
Loyens & Loeff is no. 2, based on the number of transactions, in the Mergermarket Benelux M&A League Table for 2017. This table is based on the number of (announced) transactions in the Benelux.

Loyens & Loeff ranks a third place in Overfusies.nl's League Tables for 2017, in terms of number of deals.

Ranked top once again in Incompany’s Customer Satisfaction Survey top 100
With a score of 7.55, Loyens & Loeff came first for the second year in a row in In-company’s 100 Customer Satisfaction Survey, in the category ‘Lawyer & notarial services’. The In-company 100 is the largest independent customer satisfaction survey among business service providers in the Netherlands and is carried out annually in nine business sectors.
Our clients were very pleased with how we communicated with their contacts (7.81), our accuracy (7.77) and the added value of the work we performed (7.77). Our clients assigned our firm a 7.58 for 'integrity', which confirms that Loyens & Loeff truly puts client focus first.
Top ranked in Chambers HNW Guide
In the Netherlands our firm received a tier 1 ranking from the HNW Guide in Private Wealth law. Notable practitioners are civil law notaries Guido Derckx and Pieter van Onzenoort. Clients state on Pieter van Onzenoort that he “is one of the few notaries practising in the international context” and “the leading notary in the Netherlands for private individuals”. Guido Derckx is described as “bright and approachable” and is a hugely respected tax expert maintaining a broad practice.

For World Transfer Pricing 2018 our firm received a tier 1 ranking for the Netherlands. Our offices in Luxembourg, Belgium and Switzerland received tier 2 rankings.
