'Forest walk' in the city of Zurich
We are delighted to share with you a glimpse of the new artwork in our office in Switzerland, where you have the possibility to take a walk in the forest in the middle of the city of Zurich.
Thank you so much, Sietske van’t Hooft, former Loyens & Loeff partner. Sietske is now working as an independent photographer (www.sietskevanthooft.com). She has created a fantastic artwork inspired by the Japanese 'Shinrin-Yoku', translated into English as 'forest bathing', which means taking in the forest atmosphere during a leisurely walk.
The XXL virtual forest creates a sort of a 3D effect which makes you see something different all the time which also makes you pause. Researchers, primarily in Japan and South Korea, have conducted studies on the health benefits of spending time amongst the trees, demonstrating that forest bathing positively creates calming neuro-psychological effects through changes in the nervous system, reducing the stress hormone cortisol and boosting the immune system.
We would be pleased to welcome you at our office at Alfred-Escher-Strasse 50 and share this experience with you.
