COVID-19: Impact on listed companies – press release from the FSMA

On 26 March, the Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) published a press release regarding the impact of COVID-19 on listed companies.

The press release covers three topics: (i) the publication of inside information, (ii) periodic information obligations and (iii) the organization of the general meeting. The full press release can be found here and the FSMA has created a dedicated page for issuers under its supervision here.

On 29 April, the FSMA published a Q&A (NL/FR) to recapitulate the positions it took in its press release of 26 March and provide additional details, where necessary, and to provide further guidance for listed companies in respect of the COVID-19 related measures introduced by Royal Decree No. 4 of 9 April 2020.

For more detailed information on the scope of Royal Decree No. 4 please see this article. This contribution will be limited to the information included in the FSMA press release of 26 March and the Q&A of 29 April.
