Stijn Janssen (1972), tax adviser, is a member of the International Tax practice group and head of the Dubai office. He specialises in assisting Gulf region-based multinationals and families, sovereign wealth funds (SWFs) and (private equity/real estate) investment funds as well as governments on international tax planning, investment protection, group restructurings, joint ventures, M&A, and transfer pricing. He has also advised on CO2 greenhouse gas emissions rights trading and acted as temporary in-house tax counsel for a major Dutch pension fund. He worked in the Amsterdam office from 1998 to 2001 and from 2004 to 2007. In the interim period (2001 to 2004) he worked in the Tokyo office. He helped set up the Dubai office and has headed the office since the opening in late 2007.
Stijn is a member of the Dutch Association of Tax Consultants (NOB), the International Fiscal Association (IFA) and acted as executive board member of Dujat (Dutch Japanese Trade Federation) prior to moving to Dubai. |
