Marc Dhaene works in the Brussels’ tax department and focuses on a broad range of international and domestic corporate tax issues including corporate restructuring, transfer pricing and thin capitalisation, double tax treaty issues, corporate and structured finance projects and mergers and acquisitions. In addition, he has considerable experience in handling tax audits and tax disputes including negotiating settlement with the Belgian tax authorities.
Marc has written extensively on tax related subjects and, in particular, is the co-author of “Thin capitalisation – Belgium”. Marc has also held several lectures and seminars on various topics of corporate tax law such as the Belgian holding regime, transfer pricing, anti-abuse provisions, undervaluation of assets, tax treatment of partnership structures and tax treatment of mergers. |
