| Xavier Clarebout (1963), attorney, heads the General tax practice group in Brussels. He worked for the Paris office for six years. He specialises in international and domestic tax law matters, in particular, in corporate tax issues including mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, transfer pricing, holdings, and structured finance. He also has considerable experience in cross-border tax treaties and expat issues.
Xavier is a frequent speaker on tax matters at conferences and seminars and is a lecturer at the Université de Bourgogne - Centre de recherches fiscales in Dijon. He is a professor at the Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Fiscales (ESSF) de Bruxelles and a member of the Brussels and Paris Bars and of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) of Belgium and France. He has written extensively on tax-related subjects and contributed to many books and articles in financial journals. |
