Jean-Louis Davain (1959), attorney, is a member of the Employment law, compensation & benefits, and pensions practice group in Brussels, specialising in domestic and international human resources tax planning. He has considerable expertise in international mobility issues, share-based plans, present and deferred compensation structures, professional status, and end of career planning.
Jean-Louis has various academic responsibilities at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. He is also a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars on HR tax matters. He is a member of the Brussels Bar and has written extensively on HR tax-related subjects, including a book on the Belgian special expatriate taxation regime for foreign executives (2003) another on tax and legal aspects of share option planning in Belgium (2005) and a last one on the connections between mobility and supplementary pensions (2006). |
