Yvan joined Loyens & Loeff in 2008. His diversified professional experience at the Bar, with public institutions (Banking, Finance and Insurance Commission, Higher Council for Economic Professions and Belgian Accounting Standards Board) and with companies (BELFOX – Belgian Options and Futures Exchange), have led him to practise public and private banking law, finance law and accounting law in their national, European and international aspects.

In recent years and among other in his capacity as Secretary General of the Belgian Accountancy Standards Board, of which he is an honorary member, he has developed a particular in-depth practice of Belgian and European accounting law as well as of the IAS/IFRS and US GAAP standards. This practice extends to various economic sectors as well as to the public sector (IPSAS) and to the not-for-profit sector.

Yvan teaches accounting law as well as the ethics of the accountancy and tax professions in various universities (FUCaM, Solvay Business School, etc). It is in this capacity that he has recently participated in the redrafting of the accounting law of the Vietnam Republic under the sponsorship of the World Bank.

Yvan also very regularly provides training in IAS/IFRS standards among other upon request of quoted companies. He is also the author of numerous scientific contributions.
