Marten Mees is one of the most experienced tax litigators at Loyens & Loeff, not only in the field of direct taxation (income, wage tax, net wealth tax and corporation tax), but also turnover tax and local taxes. Of the practising tax lawyers in the country he was in 1975 the first to become an advocate as well. During his career he has litigated numerous ground breaking cases, among which the Sarakreek, Ireland I, Nieuwe Kerk and Fokker cases. He is a deputy justice at the The Hague Court of Appeal in tax cases, civil cases and criminal cases.
