Joost van den Berg (1977) is an international tax specialist at Loyens & Loeff Luxembourg. He advises a wide range of (US) multinational groups on predominantly Luxembourg corporate tax for acquisitions, project financing, structured finance, securitisations, private equity and venture capital funds, corporate reorganisations and, more recently, the acquisition of distressed debt.
Because of the increasing importance of Luxembourg in international tax-planning, he was seconded to the office of Loyens & Loeff Luxembourg in 2006 for a period of three years. Recently, Joost has been permanently seconded to Luxembourg.
Joost is a member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers (NOB) since November 2002.
