Netherlands: Supreme Court finds foreign currency gains taxable 

The Dutch Supreme Court on 11 April rendered a decision suggesting that currency gains realized on funds held to pay for acquisition of stock participation are taxable (Hoge Raad, 11 april 2003, no. 37611).
