Hans van Ruiten (1963), tax adviser, is chairman of the Employment Taxes and Employment Law practice group and heads the Rotterdam tax section. He specialises in employee participation (share schemes), tax-efficient remuneration structures, remuneration of board members, pension issues and international secondment of personnel. He also focuses on the tax aspects of what he calls the 'wage tax periphery', i.e. all sorts of engagements between a worker and his principal that may be either just within or just outside the scope of the Netherlands wage tax and social security regulations.
Hans is the editor and coauthor of a book on tax and legal aspects of employee participation, which was published by Sdu in 2003. He is an editor of 'Vakstudie Nieuws', i.e. the leading weekly journal for tax professionals in the Netherlands and a regular speaker at seminars and congresses.
