Joep H. Ottervanger (1972), attorney at law, is a member of the Corporate practice group. He specialises in fund formation and has multiple internationally renowned investment management companies as clients. He has broad experience in the general M&A practice mostly in an international setting. He has practiced several years abroad and was seconded for one year at the New York office of Davis Polk & Wardwell. Through his dealings with fund managers and his secondments with AlpInvest Partners and PGGM (the second largest pension fund in the Netherlands) he has gained deep knowledge of the fund industry from a manager’s as well as an investor’s perspective. Besides his fund-related work, he frequently represents investment funds, institutional investors and other corporate clients in connection with their investments (including M&A and JV transactions) and corporate restructurings.
