Patrick van Oppen (1971), tax lawyer, is a member of the Tax practice group. He focuses on international tax law. He worked in the Frankfurt office and headed the Tokyo office from 2005 to 2009. He advises national and international clients and specialises in (cross-border) transactions and group restructuring, particularly in the Benelux, Germany, and Japan. He concentrates on managing directors/majority shareholders of family-run businesses (including compliance problems) and high-net-worth individuals. He also advises on emigration and immigration matters for legal entities and expats.
Patrick is a member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) and the Inter-Pacific Bar Association.
