Jurgen Kuiper (1966), tax adviser, is a member of the general Tax practice group. He specialises in domestic and international tax structuring and restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, takeovers and joint ventures for Dutch and foreign multinationals, and project realisation. He has experience in advising Dutch pension funds, inter alia in respect of the tax aspects of their investments in foreign funds, in particular real estate investment funds (REITs) in the United States. Finally, he is an IMI and NMI Certified Mediator. In this respect he is involved with alternative dispute resolution (ADR), mediation, conflict management and counselling of party in tax and commercial disputes.
Jurgen is chairman of the Loyens & Loeff Committee for 'Horizontaal Toezicht' (Horizontal Monitoring). He is also chairman of the Vereniging van Fiscale Mediators (VFM), co-chair of the IBA Mediation Techniques subcommittee, a member of the Nederlandse Orde van Belastingadviseurs, the International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution (CPR), the ZuidAsMediators, and the Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate (AFIRE).
