Frédéric Franckx is a partner in the Corporate Department of Loyens a Loeff Luxembourg. Frédéric’s practice consists of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and group restructuring matters, securities regulations and banking and finance matters.
Frédéric represents his clients in equity offerings and listing matters, advises on takeover matters, and is also very active in downstream (acquisition structuring) private equity work. He has participated in various public corporate transactions, including the structuring and implementation of “white knight” transactions and defence mechanisms against hostile takeover bids, and provided legal advice for one of the Europe’s biggest-ever COMI filings, covering ten countries.
Before joining Loyens & Loeff in Luxembourg, Frédéric worked for six years in the Corporate & Finance Department of one of Belgium’s largest full-service law firms in Brussels.
Frédéric was admitted to the Brussels Bar in 2001 and is also a member of the Luxembourg Bar.
