Loyens & Loeff Rotterdam moving to Blaak 31

Loyens & Loeff’s Rotterdam office is moving to Blaak 31 in Rotterdam on 12 July. Loyens & Loeff Rotterdam will occupy six of the twelve floors of this brand new building, which is architecturally unique and environmentally highly sustainable.

Cooperation
Loyens & Loeff was closely involved during the entire construction process. “Our attorneys, tax advisers and civil law notaries always work closely together. This is typical for Loyens & Loeff’s services,” explains Gijs Melching who is head of the office. “And you see this cooperation reflected in the new office’s design. The many lines of sight and open staircases enhance the feeling of interaction and communication.”

Sustainable
The building’s design and its technical equipment offer the maximum degree of sustainability. Melching: “The building was constructed from natural stone and glass. It is well insulated, has an economically efficient ventilation system, and a thermal storage system. We save a significant amount of energy thanks to this. Moreover, Blaak 31 can be easily reached by car and is very well served by public transport.”

Design
KCAP Architects & Planners came up with the design for Loyens & Loeff’s new Rotterdam office.
Fokkema & Partners were responsible for the interior design. The building contractor was BAM Utiliteitsbouw and the project developer was Provast.
