Tom van Helmond, attorney at law, is a member of the Competition & Regulatory practice group and chairman of the Healthcare team.

He specialises in healthcare and (European) procurement and competition law. He advises parties in the healthcare sector and frequently acts for them in legal proceedings. His clients include health insurers, (cure and care) healthcare institutions, medical profession enterprises, branch associations and healthcare entrepreneurs. Thanks to his medical background, Tom is very knowledgeable on healthcare and the healthcare sector, which is a great help when representing the legal interests of clients. Tom is co-chair of the Healthcare team and member of the Life Sciences Team.

Tom is also very well known for his procurement expertise. He is a highly sought after advisor, representing a broad spectrum of clients in several sectors, such as infrastructure (including hydraulic engineering), healthcare, governments and tech. Tom assists his clients frequently in legal proceedings.

He also lectures regularly and often publishes on healthcare topics and (European) procurement and competition law in professional journals.
