René N.G. van der Paardt (1952), tax adviser, is a member of the VAT, Customs and International trade practice group. He advises various banks, insurance companies, pension funds, property funds, property developers, municipalities and housing corporations on VAT and real estate transfer tax. He is also a VAT consultant to several importing and exporting companies. René is a professor in sales taxes at the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. He is a member of the IFA and the Association of Real Estate Advisors and has written many articles on VAT and real estate transfer tax.
