Thierry Charon (1962), tax adviser, is head of the Indirect Tax practice group in Brussels and responsible for Customs and International Trade at Loyens & Loeff.
He specialises in VAT, customs and excise duties. He advises clients on real estate transactions, in international trade, the automotive sector, the finance sector (securitisations, holdings, investment funds), as well as the energy sector.
Thierry is frequently called on to speak at seminars concerning VAT and customs. He is the chairman of the VAT Club, a member of the Global Legal Customs Association and the author of a number of publications in his field. Thierry teaches Financial Law at the Fiscale Hoge School Brussels and at the Katholieke Universiteit Brussels.
