Jan van Besien (1949) is Of counsel in our General tax practice group, and is based in our Brussels office. He has extensive experience in tax litigation. In addition, he provides general tax advice on revenue tax and VAT.

Jan van Besien is a member of the suggestion board of the “Tijdschrift voor fiscaal recht” magazine. He is the author of several contributions on tax litigation and VAT.

Jan van Besien is a previous member of the Board of the Brussels Bar (Flemish section, 2002-2005) and a previous member of the General Assembly of the Flemish Bar Council (Orde van Vlaamse Balies), (2006-2008).
