Pieter Bas van Agtmaal (1966), tax lawyer, is a member of the International Tax practice group. He specialises in Netherlands Antilles and Aruban domestic and international tax law, in particular in fiscal structuring, the ruling practice, fiscal litigation, indirect taxes and guidance of clients subject to tax audits. He started his career with Loyens & Loeff in 1990, first in the international tax practice of the Amsterdam office and since 1993 in the Curaçao and Aruba offices.
Pieter Bas is Vice-President of the Antillean Lawyers Association (Antilliaanse Juristen Vereniging) (and was for many years President of this Association), President of the board of the Association of Antillean Tax Advisors (Vereniging van Antilliaanse Belastingadviseurs) and a member of the Antilles Task Force tax treaties as a representative of the private sector.
