Leading the field in Chambers Europe Loyens & Loeff holds on to its top ranking position as leading Benelux law firm, as revealed in the Chambers Europe Guide for 2011. In the Tax category, we prolonged our tier 1 ranking. Chambers said: "This admirable practice towers over the Dutch market, with more than 250 lawyers offering top-tier expertise. In addition, it provides an outstanding service across the entire Benelux.".
Our Dutch offices also achieved tier 1 status once again in the categories Investment Funds, Real Estate, Real Estate: Zoning and Planning, and Transportation: Shipping Advisory. As regards Investment Funds, Chambers was impressed by Loyens & Loeff, stating that: "It is home to a large group of experts who bring together a comprehensive skill set, to tackle the whole range of funds matters." Excellent rankings in Chambers Global Loyens & Loeff has achieved excellent results in the Chambers Global Guide 2011. In the Corporate / M&A category, Chambers commended Loyens & Loeff as "a robust player throughout the Benelux region". "It offers integrated M&A and tax advice, making it a popular choice with investment funds and private equity clients." Our Dutch office earned a tier 2 ranking.
As for the Banking & Finance category, our Dutch office this year rose from tier 3 to tier 2 . This year, Loyens & Loeff Netherlands was ranked 'tier 2' in the Capital Markets: Securitisation category.

High scores again in the Legal 500 Loyens & Loeff again scored very highly in the Legal 500 in 2011. As in previous years, we achieved the highest ranking in the category Tax. Legal 500 said: "Loyens & Loeff is outstanding, with its width of services and large network of almost 400 tax specialists". In the categories Environment and Planning, Mediation, and Real Estate, our Dutch offices once again earned a tier 1 ranking. In the area of Real Estate, Legal 500 said: "Loyens & Loeff is expert, accurate, innovative, respectful, and swift". Loyens & Loeff maintained its solid position in the other categories as well. Loyens & Loeff is Best Benelux Law firm 2011
Loyens & Loeff has been named the ‘Best Benelux Law firm’ of 2011 by the jury of the International Legal Alliance Summit Awards (ILASA).
The International Legal Alliance Awards reward the best independent law firms of the year. They recognise distinguished law firms for their excellent results this year and their lasting performance in management and leadership. Following a careful selection based on quantitative and qualitative criteria, more than 200 international independent law firms were nominated for the grand prize. Loyens & Loeff finished first as 'Best Benelux Law Firm'.

Best M&A firm Loyens & Loeff was named the best M&A firm in 2009 and received the Golden Hourglass award. These awards were handed out at the official presentations of the KSU publication De Stand van de Advocatuur 2009.
The award for the best M&A firm is based on information from OverFusies.nl’s merger and acquisitions database. It is handed out to the law firm that has advised on the largest number of takeovers.

Number 1 in real estate again Once again Loyens & Loeff is Number 1 in PropertyNL’s compiled list of real estate lawyers based on our numbers of lawyers. We head the list streets ahead of our competitors.
PropertyNL carried out its survey of the number of real estate lawyers at each firm and the extent to which firms advised on transactions involving real estate in the Netherlands in 2010.

Loyens & Loeff ranked as Best Employer In this year's Best Employers Survey Loyens & Loeff scored an 8 on the scale of 10 in the large-organisation category (more than 1000 employees). This figure indicates how satisfied our employees are about working at our firm.
The report from research company Effectory shows Loyens & Loeff achieved very good scores on all subjects. In particular, Loyens & Loeff scored high on the topics involvement and customer focus.

Favourite law firm among law students Law graduates in the Netherlands prefer to enter the legal profession and they choose to join Loyens & Loeff rather than other firms. That goes for both male and female lawyers. They also consider Loyens & Loeff to be the most ‘recession-proof’ law firm.
This emerged from the Law Labour Market and Image 2010 survey published by Memory Magazine. Loyens & Loeff was the favourite law firm among law students in 2009 as well, according to Memory Magazine. |
