Loyens & Loeff has been ranked number 1 for the fourth year running in a survey of Dutch real estate lawyers compiled annually by the magazine PropertyNL. The results were published Friday 11 September.
The survey was carried out among more than 40 law firms and civil law notary's offices in the Netherlands. The total value of deals came to EUR 85 billion in 2008, compared to EUR 150 million the year before. PropertyNL concluded: "Every firm felt the economic downturn but some suffered more than others". Loyens & Loeff remained number 1 once again this year, recording a total deal value of EUR 16 billion.
