Guido Portier and Jurriaan van der Stok MRE, partners at Loyens & Loeff, have been appointed as civil law notaries in Amsterdam and Rotterdam, respectively. They were sworn in on 3 December and 11 December, respectively. Loyens & Loeff now numbers 16 civil law notaries in total, meaning it owns the largest notarial practice in the Netherlands.
Guido Portier advises Dutch, American and European companies, multinationals and pension funds on restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, takeovers, joint ventures, corporate and pension fund governance and general corporate law-related matters. He also has broad experience advising with respect to international finance.
Jurriaan van der Stok MRE specialises in commercial real estate, real estate transactions and real estate-related corporate law. He has experience in commercial real estate transactions and in setting up joint ventures and investment structures. He also provides general advice to companies and government bodies on commercial real estate and commercial real estate-related tax issues.
